Japanese Name: Tele Tele No Mi
English Name: Tele Tele Fruit
Meaning: Telekinesis
First Appearance:
Type: Paramecia
Eaten by: Rob

The Tele Tele No Mi gives the user the ability to produce 'Telekinetic Extensions' from their body; specifically, they can form and manipulate completely a strange light-blue transparent substance which behaves like a solid but the shape of which can be changed at the user's whim. It disappears once the user either loses concentration or wills it to be gone.

[edit] Strengths and Weaknesses

The 'extension material' as Rob has dubbed it, is a blue-tinged transparent substance which the user of the Tele Tele No Mi can form from their body at will; it comes from any part of their body, inside and out, and can be shaped as the user likes. It has the density of metal normally, and so it can normally block swords and such with ease. He can 'push' with the extensions with superhuman force, and can move them at superhuman speeds; if the user encases his limbs in a limb-shaped extension, the user can punch with superhuman strength by moving the extension forwards along with his arm.

There are two main principles to this fruit:

1) The ability to shoot out fist-shaped extensions from any part of the body, and to shape these extensions to the user's liking.

2) The ability to encase a limb or even the user's entire body in a shaped extension for protection or to move the limb at superhuman speeds hitting the opponent with the force-field encased limb.

Another very useful aspect of the fruit is the Extensions can be compressed together to form a more dense, compact extension that can, again, be formed to the user's liking. This trait is vital to several attacks and power-ups that Rob has used. (Example: Two sheet-shaped extensions are pushed together and compressed into a single sheet that has twice the density of a regular one). This is due to the manipulability of the telekinetic extensions.

There is, however, a drawback; overusage of this power can lead to mental fatigue, so in a particularily long and drawn out fight where the user is constantly going all out, the user will feel mentally drained and will be prone to sudden fainting.

As well as this, the telekinetic extensions have to be attached to the user at all times to even exist; once the user severs contact with the extension, they just fall apart, the air shimmering for a moment after they disappear.

[edit] Usage

With these principals in mind, Rob has created many different moves and modes, all utilising a combination of the laws of physics and the nature of his Devil Fruit.

[edit] Attacks

  • Tele Tele no Shoot (Tele Tele Shoot): Rob sends an arm shaped extension flying towards the opponent at high speeds. A medium-range attack.
  • Tele Tele no Snipe (Tele Tele Snipe): Rob encases his arm in a limb-shaped extension, and punches forwards. A short-range attack.
  • Tele Tele no Rapid Fire (Tele Tele Rapid Fire): Rob sends multiple fists shooting towards the opponent in a barrage of punches; once a fist hits or misses the opponent, it immediately dissolves and falls apart, a new fist forming and flying from the same spot of Rob's body. Usually medium range.
  • Tele Tele no Cleave (Tele Tele Cleave): Rob forms a sharp blade-like extension around his forearm, and moves it, along with his arm, at the opponent in a slicing attack. A short-range attack.
  • Tele Tele no Heki (Tele Tele Pierce): Rob forms a spear-like extension on his leg, and kick forwards with it, sending the sharp extension hurtling forwards towards the foe in a stabbing attack. Medium to long range.
  • Telekinetic Cannon: Rob builds up a ball of incredibly dense extension material, compressing layer after layer after layer of forcefield into the shape of a single small tennis-ball sized sphere; he then smacks the sphere forward, while opening a crack in the front, letting the highly compressed extension material shoot out the front in the form of a highly condensed, very powerful beam. A long-range attack.

[edit] Movements

Rob has various movement techniques to help him avoid enemy attacks and to move quickly.

  • Bekuta (Vector): Rob can encase his body in a telekinetic forcefield extension and can then move the entire body as he sees fit; to move at high speed, he moves his body as a whole within the extension at superhuman speeds. If he pushes off the ground and then moves his body forwards with the full-body extension, he can become even faster, rivalling the speed of Soru.
  • Raid: With Raid, Rob utilises his ability to move his body freely through the air as if he's flying by encasing his body in a full-body extension, swooping at high speeds towards the opponent in an attempt to execute an aerial attack of some sort. This move is usually followed up with an attack.
  • Crescendo: This is a technique usable when Rob has a full-body extension; he zooms around and around the opponent, confusing him, moving in elegant arcs and curves, so that he can have a chance to strike without the enemy knowing precisely where he is.

[edit] Forms

  • Aura Asgard: Rob encases his whole body in a forcefield-like extension, and from then on proceeds to move himself by moving the extensions that his body is encased in. It's like flexible battle armour; his attacks aren't any stronger, but he doesn't have to form the material and then use it, because it's already there; as such, he can simply manipulate the extension around his body into various shapes and forms to his liking. He can also readily use Crescendo while in Aura Asgard. This form makes the air around him have a solid blue look to it,, and the hands on the Asgard are like claws.

[edit] Team Combinations

Telekinetic Aerial Cannon Seikou (Telekinetic Aerial Cannon Hit) - Rob performs a Telekinetic Cannon, while Jem performs a Twinya Mattou Seikou.
