First Appearance:
Type: Paramecia

The Kuta Kuta no Mi, also called the Wither Wither Fruit, is a Paramecia type Devil Fruit that allows the eater to cause any object within a few feet of them to rapidly decay and die. "Kutakuta" is a Japanese verb for withering. It was eaten by Eugene Gaugain.

Strengths & Weaknesses

The main strength of the Kuta Kuta no Mi is that it allows the eater to cause almost any material, save for Seastone, to rapidly age into a rotted and ruined state. This effect can be caused by touch or by just focusing the Fruit's power in a specific direction, however, using touch makes the process much faster. The eater is also able to be unaffected by most projectile weapons, as they cause anything approaching them to rot into harmless dust before it touches their body. However, unlike a Logia-class user, who can train themselves to reflexively activate their powers, the eater of the Kuta Kuta no Mi cannot do this, and must be actively focusing on the use of their powers to activate them. Also, Logia users themselves are remarkably resistant to the withering powers of the Kuta Kuta no Mi, although not totally so. Things made of metal are also to its power, and do not fall apart, but still rust and weaken.
